The purchase of special systems for a facility is a major decision for facility owners. The decision to purchase must be based on confidence with the products and the company that will install, train the client and service the systems over the life of the facility.
Today Digital Air Control services are used by well known companies and organizations such as Chevron, CBRE, Marathon Oil, Valero, Texas State Capitol, Trammel Crow, Shell Oil, Hines, Weatherford, FEMA as well as many other well known organizations. The company employs an extensive well trained staff to maintain system and client services.
The company has grown from humble beginnings. The business started in a neighborhood garage in down town Houston in 1993 and has grown to several office locations. We provide systems and services from Florida to Detroit and New Mexico to New York.
The company started with three employees. Although there was considerable experience and ability in the company that had been obtained from past employment in building services and laboratory systems, the company itself was new and unknown. Perseverance, hard work and attention to quality with a little luck paid off and the company has continually grown since.
In 1996 the company moved out of the garage and into an office/warehouse facility in the Galleria area of Houston.
In 2000, the company installed one of the first complete web based automation systems in the nation. It was not only available to be accessed over the Internet, but utilized IP addressed controllers, java programming and was operated with Internet Explorer. Today many companies provide these services, but Digital Air Control, Inc. retains years of experience from the ground floor in new technology.
In 2000, the company opened a branch office in Lubbock Texas and has expanded the installation of automated buildings.
In 2005, Digital Air Control, Inc. developed and provided customers on line web based documentation of the installed systems enhancing the ability for clients and service technicians to access critical facility documentation.
In 2006 the company developed an engineering development tool that automated the process of creating typical shop drawings, application software and system graphics substantially reducing our project development cost allowing us to provide more system information and capability for the same price that other company’s offered.
In 2007 we began providing, installing and servicing Tek-Air laboratory system for efficient control of laboratory facilities. The laboratory airflow systems allow a complete automated solution package to be sold to clients with laboratories.
In 2008, The Company spun off the web base document feature from within the building automation web site to a separate company called MediaLogic Software. The idea turned into PlanRoom and now web based facility documentation has expanded to all trades of construction and includes MSDS, emergency response and other. See www.Medialogicsoftware.com Digital Air Control, Inc. is a user of Planroom, but is a separate business entity and remains focused on energy management services.
In 2009 the company began providing cost effective BACnet lighting control panels as a solution to facilities with the desire for the lighting control to be integrated into the building automation system.
In 2010 the company became a licensed security contractor and began to provide integrated access control systems as part of the automated building solutions provided by the company.
In 2010 Digital Air Control, Inc. was part of a design build team that attain LEED platinum certification on three separate facilities and is ranked #2 in the world for facilities with platinum certification.
In 2010 Digital Air Control began working on owner direct laboratory and cleanroom design build projects. Digital Air Control began adding key staff for a dedicated design build department.
In 2011 Digital Air Control established a design build division to handle complete construction of clean rooms and laboratory system renovations. Digital Air Control has performed numerous cleanroom projects to date with a staff from Luwa that has completed over a 1,000 cleanroom facilities.
In 2011 Digital Air Control responded to customer’s requests to perform air balancing services and completed balancing services for our customers. Digital Air Control also added NEBB Supervisors, Certified Energy Managers, LEED Professionals to broaden our base of talent.
In 2012, Digital Air Control received Certification from the National Environment Balancing Bureau (NEBB) to perform air balancing, water balancing, sound and vibration testing. State Laws for Texas changed to require any company that makes adjustments to mechanical systems to be licensed, therefore Digital Air Control also became licensed.
Digital Air Control continues to evolve to meet our customer’s needs and become a total facility management resource.
